Choi_Yoon_Soo
from Korea won the inaugural ASM @ Singapore
but was unsuccessful in his defense of his Singapoe Title
at the inaugural ASM @ Malaysia staged
in 2005 which was won by Stewart_Ginn
Stewart defended his ASM
Title at the 2006 ASM @ Malaysia and once
again emerged the Champion, and is anticipated to contest
for the Title at the scheduled 2009 ASM @ Malaysia.
At the 2007 ASM @ Malaysia
it was Chen Tsang Te from Taiwan manageing
a final round 68, including a birdie on the 18th hole, to
beat Malaysia's M Ramayah in the same flight, who also
birdied his last hole. Chen returned a tour record winning
score of 10 under par 206, beating M Ramayah by a single stroke
to emerge as the 2007 ASM @ Malaysia Champion
2008 ASM @ Malaysia saw Sutep Bunpimuk
- Thailand who on the final day it closed and later reversed
M Ramayah - Malaysia's 2 stroke lead to emerge Champion
with Eduardo Bagtas - Philippines & Lai Chung
Hui - Taiwan emerging joint 3rd
At the 2009 ASM @ Malaysia last July
it was (Malaysia's) Ramayah who emerged Champion, and
he repeated this feat at the ASM @ Pulai Springs (Johor) in
December.
The 2009 ASM @ Indonesia (Batam)
also staged last July was won by David Ng - Singapore.
The 2010 ASM @ Malaysia staged from
1st - 6th July was won by Malaysia's Ramayah making
it 2 in a row, with Kempis Arnulfo and Eduado Bagtas both
from the Philippines coming 2nd & 3rd respectively, Hong
Kong's - Sung Yau Fuk was 4th Veeramuthu - India/ was 5th, Reid Sheftall
- USA was 6th and Demetrio Saclot - Philippines was 7th
Asian Senior Master events showcase
a mixture of some of the best senior professional golfers
from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, UK and
Asia.
Many of the AST founder members
who have contested previous ASM tournaments staged
between 2003 - 2008 have done the AST
the considerable honour of confirming their intention to contest
the 2010 ASM @ Malaysia this coming July.

Each ASM
@ Malaysia Pro-Am will feature a team competition,
the team score for each hole will be the Pros plus the 2 best
gross scores for each hole from the 3 amateurs in the team,
There will also be an individual competition where the 9
lowest - best gross scoring individual participants
from each ASM Pro-Am will qualify to compete
in the Amateur Semi-Finals.
To cater to amateur golfers,
many who will accompany participating senior professional,
ASM have created the 2010
ASM @ Malaysia - Pro-Am & Social Golf Package
Pro-Am and Social Golf packages vary
in duration, & can include up to 6 nights accommodation,
inclusive of breakfast, lunch & dinner and are designed
to cater to amateur golfers wishing to take part in 2
or 3 ASM Pro-Ams and possibly play a few
rounds of social golf on some of the beautiful courses
near by. The 7 night – 8 day package costs RM

ASM Pro-Ams and the ASM
- Amateur Open Pro-Am Qualifier events are open to
both male and female participants who must be at least 12
years of age and posses valid golf handicaps, and all participants
Amateurs & Professionals are invited to attend
the ASM @ Malaysia Welcome Cocktail Reception
to be held on Saturday 3rd July 10 commencing
at 7.30pm at Nilai Springs GCC.
ASM Amateur Semi-Finals
will be contested on Monday 5th July 10 and
will be incorporated into the first day of the ASM @ Malaysia
professional tournament, and as has been the case at previous
ASM events up to 35 qualifying amateur golfers will compete
each day alongside the AST's Senior PGA golfers in a 4 ball
flights comprising 3 Pros & 1 amateur as the AST professionals
contest the first two days of the ASM @ Malaysia Pro tournament.
On Tuesday 6th July 10,
the ASM will feature the top 3 best gross scoring
amateur golfers from the Amateur Semi-Finals
staged on Monday 5th July 10 and these 6
amateur finalists will compete in the ASM @ Malaysia Amateur
Finals 2010 on Tuesday 6th July 10 - T-ing Off at 7.30am prior
to the final day of the 2010 ASM @ Malaysia Professional
Tournament.
As has been the case at past ASM events all
ties in either or both the ASM Pro Tournament
& the ASM Amateur Finals will be decided
by a sudden death play offs
The ASM Pro-Am and ASM Player packages includes
