Brian was one of Australia's most accomplished golfers during the late 1970s and 1980s, winning four times on the Asian Tour at the 1972, 1973 and 1977 Indian Opens and the 1978 Malaysian Open, three times on the Australian Tour at the 1980 Barclays Classic, the 1980 New Zealand PGA and the 1984 Air New Zealand Shell Open, as well as on no less than ten occasions on the Japan PGA Tour.
He missed out on a card at the 2001 US Senior Tour Qualifying School but then travelled to Europe where he posted rounds of 70-70-70-71 to claim seventh place in the European equivalent at Pinta. Brian speaks fluent Japanese.
Brian played in the 2003 Asian Senior Masters Singapore and the 2005 Asian Senior Masters Malaysia.
