The second youngest man to win on the European Seniors Tour (behind John Bland) when he won on his second time out at the 1998 Jersey Seniors Open. He also won twice in 1999 at the Philips PFA Golf Classic and the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open but then did not claim a fourth Seniors Tour title until the 2001 STC Bovis Lend Lease European Invitational at Woburn. Has spent the last few years focusing on his burgeoning career as a golf course architect.
In 2004 his best finish was joint seventh at the Nigel Mansell Sunseeker International Classic and while he could not match that in 2005, he did manage three top-20s.
A regular on The European Tour during much of the 1970s and 1980s with his best year coming in 1975 when he won twice at the Madrid Open and the Piccadilly Medal. That year he was also tied second at the German Open, third at the Martini International and fourth at the Benson and Hedges Festival of Golf on his way to finishing second on the Order of Merit behind Dale Hayes.
Also a winner of 15 events in his native Australia and once in the United States at the 1982 Tallahassee Open. He represented his country in two World Cups in 1975 and 1976 when he teamed up with Ian Stanley and Greg Norman respectively. He also headed the Australasian Tour Order of Merit on no fewer than four occasions.
Wife, Kathie, is a much respected Press Officer on the Australasian Tour.
